As a basketball coach for the last six years and having played four sports in high school and basketball in college and a semi-pro league, Mr. Cook knows the value a strength and conditioning program can have, not only on athletics but personal health as well. It’s an area that he’s extremely passionate. Therefore, Mr. Cook has worked with Legends Pro Gym in Loveland to offer professionally curated workout sessions to eighth grade and high school students.

The workout sessions are offered from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. or 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Because of school and out-of-season responsibilities, most high school strength programs across the country start at this time. I personally started lifting in the eighth grade at 6:00 a.m. for sports and still continue to do so.

If you choose to participate, we ask a minimum commitment of two weeks for $30. If you choose to participate the entire month and pay up front, the cost is $55, which covers the personal trainer and a gym membership in case your athlete wants to go more than the three days offered. Also, a percentage of the fee is donated back to LCS Athletics each month! If you plan to do all months, we can certainly make a deal!

The program runs from August 24th to December 18th with a week break for Thanksgiving. Mr. Cook will personally be at each morning session, and the trainer will be at each afternoon session.

Please note that this is not an LCS sponsored activity, and a parent is required to sign a Covid waiver to sign for the gym. All fees will be handled by Legends Pro Gym.

To ensure that there is room, please sign up in advance. All questions can be directed to Cole Cook.
